Home Gardening: The Fundamentals and Another Perspective (A Gardening Workshop)


Choosing the right plants, watering regimes, as well as the use of fertilisers, re-potting, pruning and other general plant care techniques will be covered in this comprehensive basic course. Participants will be led on a guided tour around the Tanglin Core of Singapore Botanic Gardens to learn and discuss about the different type of plants. The alternative Hydroculture (soil-free) approach will also be introduced in this workshop.


This workshop is suitable for:

-       Gardening enthusiasts who would like to sharpen their basic gardening skills  

-       Beginners with no background in gardening  

-       Tertiary students and adult hobbyists 

Time : 9:00am – 6:00pm
Fee : $100.00 per participant (includes all materials)
Location : Botany Centre, Tanglin Core of the Singapore Botanic Gardens

Availability of the workshop is subjected to the availability of trainer and venue.


We require a minimum of 15 participants for the workshop to run. The maximum capacity is 25 participants. In the event that you have less than 15 participants in a group, the minimum charges of 15 participants will be levied.


A minimum four weeks advance booking is required.
