Centered on nature and creatures whose habitat are gardens and rainforests, each workshop will feature a creature and a character building value to educate children to emulate the good value in their lives.

Common Soil Problems in Plant Growth

Mrs Arjunan Rajeswari is a Soil Scientist working in the Animal and Plant Health Laboratories of Agri-food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore conducting chemical and physical analysis of soil and nutrients.

 

Synopsis

Discovering soil related problems can be challenging, especially when plant symptoms are similar to those of insect, disease or other abiotic causes. This talk focuses on the common soil related problems, their identification and remedial measures with a basic introduction to soil properties and their management for better plant growth. The importance of soil diagnosis in identifying the deficiency symptom and its management will also be discussed.
